ALICIA WATKINS

Alicia Watkins is a compassionate healthcare professional with more than 10 years of hospital medical terminology experience and 5 years of active nursing practice.

Her career began in 2001 when she enrolled in the Business Systems Technology Program at a local technical college in Paris, TN. After relocating to Nashville in 2005, Alicia worked in collections but quickly realized her true passion was in healthcare. She pursued further education, graduating in 2007 with a degree in Medical Billing and Coding from High Technical Institute. Soon after, she joined Vanderbilt Medical Center, where she spent six years in the Interventional Radiology Scheduling Department, gaining valuable insight into patient care coordination.

In 2013, Alicia returned to her hometown of Paris, TN, due to family circumstances and accepted a role in the Business Office at Henry County Medical Center. After six years, she transitioned from the clerical side of healthcare to the clinical side, becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her drive to deepen her impact led her to continue her education, ultimately earning her credentials as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Today, Alicia proudly serves as a Triage Nurse at Ascension St. Thomas Medical Group, where she is the first point of contact in both urgent and non-urgent situations. She applies critical thinking and clinical judgment to ensure patients receive timely, appropriate care. With a strong passion for patient education, Alicia is dedicated to helping individuals improve chronic illnesses and achieve healthier lifestyles—fulfilling what she believes is her true life purpose.

In addition to her professional work, Alicia is an active committee member of The Resile One Foundation. Her dedication, initiative, and compassion make her an invaluable partner in advancing the Foundation’s mission to serve communities across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and beyond.
