CRITERIA & ELIGIBILITY

Our Resile One Foundation Team has a deep passion for random acts of kindness and community service.  With the recent national decline of volunteer participation, we feel it is vital to recognize individuals who answer the call to community action even in the face of overwhelming need and circumstances.

A U.S. Census Bureau and AmeriCorps survey found that formal volunteer participation dropped 7 percentage points from 2019 to 2021, the largest decrease since the survey began in 2002.

The Dallas Metro Area has a formal volunteering rate of 18.8%.

The decline in volunteers has impacted local nonprofits. For example, one local Food Bank experienced a 50% cancellation rate in expected volunteers during the Omicron surge.
