Sometimes, the most powerful connections begin with a simple phone call.

When Our Executive Director, Yolanda Tyler, arrived in Paris, Tennessee ahead of the Resile One Heritage Summit, she had no formal media contacts in the area—but she did have faith and determination. Yolanda pulled into the parking lot of Forever Communications, spotted the number on the radio station door, walked back to her car, and made the call.
On the other end of the line was Mr. David Jackson. They spoke for over 15 minutes before he paused and asked where she was calling from. When Yolanda told him she was actually parked right outside the station, not in Texas as he assumed, he laughed and immediately said, “Come on in!”
The moment he opened the door and greeted Yolanda with a warm smile, he said words she never forget: “Let’s do an interview.”
She blinked and asked, “Now?” He replied without hesitation, “Yes!”
That impromptu radio interview became a turning point. Not only did it help spread the word about the Resile One Heritage Summit, but Mr. Jackson also suggested to go live on social media to call for community vendors to participate in the upcoming Community Fair.
But he didn’t stop there.
Mr. Jackson personally introduced Yolanda to Mr. Carl Anderson, Director of the R.E.A.L. Hope Youth Center, which in turn led to an introduction to the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department. That one connection blossomed into a full-circle community effort, where Resile One Foundation dedicated a three-day fundraiser in support of the fire department during our summit.
Mr. Jackson also extended a personal invitation for Yolanda to speak to the Paris Rotary Club—giving her the opportunity to share our mission and vision with local leaders and changemakers.
And to top it all off, he didn’t just stop at broadcasting or connecting—Mr. Jackson showed up. He came out in person to support the Resile One Heritage Summit, standing with us in action as well as spirit.
We are deeply grateful for Mr. David Jackson—a true community champion whose kindness, initiative, and belief in our mission helped us plant lasting seeds of impact in Paris, Tennessee.
